Get urgent help for emergencies

Breathing difficulty, severe allergic reaction, poisoning, confusion, fainting, chest pain, major bleeding, seizures, blue lips, severe dehydration or rapidly worsening illness require urgent local medical help.

Ask before using concentrated preparations

Speak with a pharmacist or clinician when you take prescription medicines, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are preparing something for a child, have liver or kidney disease, are awaiting surgery or have a significant chronic condition.

Food use is not extract use

A culinary amount, strong tea, tincture, essential oil and concentrated supplement are not interchangeable. Route and concentration can change both benefit and risk.

Quality is part of safety

Correct identification, clean equipment, fully dried plant material where required, appropriate storage, clear labels and discard dates are core parts of responsible preparation.
